How to care for your Poppy Home vase
Our vases are 3D printed in PLA, a plant-based plastic. With a little care, they will look beautiful for years.
Cleaning
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. For marks, use a drop of mild washing-up liquid and dry straight away. Please don't put your vase in the dishwasher, and avoid solvents, bleach and abrasive cleaners.
Using it with flowers
Your vase is not waterproof and is not suitable for food or drink. For fresh flowers, place a glass or plastic liner inside. Dried flowers and branches can go straight in.
Heat and sunlight
PLA softens above about 55°C. Keep your vase away from radiators, fires, hot cars and long hours of direct sun (for example, a sunny windowsill in summer), as it may warp.
Stability
Place your vase on a flat, stable surface. Tall, slim vases can tip over with heavy stems, so add a few pebbles to the liner if needed.
Colours and finish
Each piece is printed layer by layer, so fine layer lines and small colour variations are normal. They are part of what makes 3D-printed pieces unique.
